Vibe: I often refer to Dartmouth as the 'Brooklyn' of Halifax.
Over the years it has gone from 'little sibling' to a vibrant & high-demand area. Much like the North End of Halifax, Downtown Dartmouth offers a blend of historic charm, lakes, restaurants and ways to spend the day.
Walkability: It varies; because Dartmouth is large. Walkability is great downtown, but definitely varies as you get out into its various subdivisions.

Schools of note: Dartmouth High for its IB program. Crichton Park & Hawthorn elementary schools. Ellenvale & Bicentennial junior high schools.
Price Point: Huge variance in pricing. From the higher priced Crichton Park & Portland Hills/Estates ($700k +) to entry level Forest Hills and Woodlawn ($450k +) and everything in between.
